Serving Public Hospitals and Vulnerable Populations
We will distribute medical and essential supplies to public hospitals and high risk segments of the population.
Personal protective equipment is meant to protect the wearer from harm or infection. Medical supplies including personal protective equipment is critical to public health and community-based efforts to flatten the curve of the COVID-19 pandemic. Prevention and the protection of medical personnel requires among other things: testing kits, masks, visors, gloves, protective gowns as well as soap and hand sanitiser. We are working around the clock to secure all of these these supplies as well as supplying food and personal protective equipement to segments of the population that are vulnerable to lockdown and curfew measures.
By Working with Local Entrepreneurs
The COVID-19 pandemic is also an opportunity to support “made in Africa” by creatively involving different industries like fashion and construction. Within our own communities there are businesses and entrepreneurs who have and can step up to produce much needed supplies. We are committed to sourcing personal protective equipment whenever possible from local manufacturers and suppliers. Local suppliers provide jobs in country and by supporting them we are able to positively impact not only the health outcomes in the places we are present but also prop up an often fragile economic ecosystem.
