About Us
Why.
The first case of COVID-19 in Africa was diagnosed in Egypt in February 2020. Since then the number of identifed cases has grown rapidly and existing health infrastructure is struggling to keep up. We believe, together, we can help.
Who.
Priyanka Fouda and Savitri Fouda are two Africans living in London and Boston who are dedicated to providing meaningful support during acute periods of crisis and trouble.
Where.
We are starting by supplying public hospitals in Cameroon and Cote d’Ivoire with desperately needed personal protective equipment. We also supply PPE, food, soap and hand sanitisers to high risk populations.
When.
There is an urgent need for support and supplies on the ground. We also believe the knock-on effects of crises can be as damaging as the initial pandemic or war. We would like to follow through to the end.
What.
Leo Tolstoy wrote, “All happy families are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.” The same is true of crises. During COVID-19 we will focus on providing medical supplies and supporting local businesses. During the next crisis needs may change and so will we.
How.
During war time, citizens are asked to make sacrifices for the greater good. We aim to be a transparent and effective conduit for individuals and organizations in Africa and abroad to contribute to fighting crises on the continent, starting with COVID-19..
